Tea Tree Oil For Acne

Tea tree oil is an essential oil that is derived from the leaves of the Australian Narrow-leaved Tea Tree. When applied to the skin, this natural oil is a useful anti-fungal, antibacterial and antiseptic. For this reason, using tea tree oil for acne is recommended. Only a small amount is needed when applying, and it has the added benefit of being able to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. It will help to loosen clogged pores by opening them up and drawing out any impurities. In addition, it reduces inflammation and has a slight analgesic effect.

Tea Tree Oil ProductAfter application, tea tree oil products get to work by controlling the inflammation before it gets out of hand. It will gradually reduce the appearance of acne by drying the acne spots and reducing any red scars from previous breakouts. The oil is mild but effective, so it isn’t as drying for the rest of your skin as some products. You may feel a slight tingling effect on your skin after application, but this soon fades. After using it every night, you should begin to see a difference in approximately three days.

It does have a strong smell when you first apply the oil to your skin, but this soon fades away. Some people enjoy the smell and find the oil clean, refreshing and cooling when using it. Another benefit of tea tree oil, is that because it is a natural product, it is safe for pregnant women to use too.

Because this is a natural product is it something that you could use on newborn acne? I understand that it may tingle etc. but that fades away right? What I want to know is, is this oil to harsh for a babies skin? You mentioned it goes down in layers but does a baby have as many layers as an adult? Where would it go then?

This was a very helpful article. I would like to try some of this but you didn’t mention a price or where we could get it from. I will do some more research into this and see what I can come up with. It sounds like a great cure but how do they describe it as being clean and refreshing when it is an oil that you are spreading on your skin?

I was thinking about this for my babies acne bit the more I read about it I think it is a little to harsh and it needs to be used on the more stubborn adult acne rather than this mild stuff that they get. I realize that it is all natural but there are things that are all natural that can harm you because of the strength it has.

I have heard of this tree for many treatments of ailments, I guess this oil must do a lot of different things. You have done an excellent job on your blog and I can’t wait to find some place that sells this so I can try it. I hope this isn’t something that you have to order off of the internet because of where it comes from or something.

I knew I loved Australia for a reason. I have some friends that live over there do you suppose this oil is cheaper over there than it would be if they shipped it here? I could have them ship it to me and probably pay half what I would pay if I order it from someone that’s having it shipped here to stock their store. I’ll have to dig into that a little more.

I understand that it may tingle etc. but that fades away right? What I want to know is, is this oil to harsh for a babies skin? I want to use it for newborn acne on my son but you mentioned it goes down layer by layer of skin, does a baby have as many layers of skin as an adult? I was always under the impression that a babies skin was very thin.

This is great information, I have heard that this is used for many things but I had no idea that the oil was used for acne as well. Where can you get this? Do you have to order this on the internet or is it sold in stores? How much does this oil cost by the way? If you order this off the internet do you have to order in bulk?

I have heard of this before as far as cleaning something with oil.

I understand that this tree grows in Australia but is it something that grows wild? Can these trees be transplanted from Australia to some other state In the US? If you did get it transplanted would it live? I want to take it from the Australia land to Kansas temperatures will that be difficult? These are beautiful trees and the oil is just a plus.
