Getting Rid Of Acne

There’s nothing like having clear, beautiful skin and most of us don’t know how to get rid of acne, instead we may go from dermatologist to dermatologist or often try to cover our problem skin with make-up. This can actually worsen it big time. Well it’s time to get smart and learn how you can rid yourself of acne.

You are what you eat:
Well it is true that you are what you eat, however it’s important to know what to put in our bodies to gain that skin we all die for and what to leave out. There are also several natural remedies to treat acne from ingredients from your kitchen cabinet to safe herbs that are readily available.

Treat acne:
You can try several treatments for acne and acne scars, as well as get books available on treating acne on our site. Our site offers you a variety of products and some great results depending on what’s right for you.

Maintain good hygiene:
First wash your hands before you cleanse your face in order not to transfer bacteria to your face, and use a mild cleanser as a harsh one could aggravate your skin. Pillow cases and towels should be kept clean or you could transfer bacteria and oil back to your face that will increase the acne. Don’t ever pinch or pick your pimples as this will inflame the tissue and not only cause an infection but even a scar.

Visit the dermatologist:
It may be a good idea to consult a dermatologist to see if you actually have acne, as sometimes you may notice that in spite of the fact that you maintain your diet, follow a strict cleansing regime and try several products nothing seems to work. It’s important to know that acne can also be caused by medical conditions such as polycystic ovaries, you could have a food allergy or you could even be mistaking something else for acne.

Where I do agree that make-up will sometimes make acne worse I have also found out that makeup for oily skin will also dry them up. Thank you for publishing this article it has had a lot of information in it that will help my son who suffers a great deal with acne. I am hoping this will change his attitude about this whole thing.

I have always believed that it lies in what you eat. And I don’t care what some of these articles say I think that chocolate has a lot to do with acne as well as greasy foods etc. I also believe it has a lot to do with what you drink as well, if you don’t drink enough water then the toxins from all the soda and sugary drinks you are drinking will not help.

If I am reading this correctly then if you have long hair that covers your face and you don’t keep it clean the oil transfer from the hair can cause acne to break out on your face, correct? So these kids that like to cover half of their face with their hair and look at people with just one eye will most likely suffer some form of acne on that side of their face?

Do you think that Proactive really works as good as they say it does? My son had some once and he never used it, but by the time I got around to asking him for it so I could give it a try he had thrown it away! We went through a lot of over the counter cleansers and kits that didn’t work so I was wondering your opinion.

I was talking with my mother and we were discussing why she is so healthy at the advanced age of 78. She goes for checkups every 3 or 6 months and the doctor has said to her that he hopes when he is her age that he is just as healthy. I also inherited healthy skin. This we think can be attributed to her growing up in a small town where everything they ate was natural. So maybe there is some correlation between acne and processed foods.

This is great information and I believe it whole heartedly that you are what you eat and if you eat the proper foods it will help your acne among a lot of other things. Your article is right on the money and I hope that people pay attention to what it says here instead of thinking it is a bunch of lies. Great job keep up the good work.

Getting rid of acne is tough but what is even worse is if you don’t stay ahead of it by preventing future outbreaks, because if your skin constantly breaks out and gets cleared up then the scars are going to start to show. If you prevent the break outs by doing the simple things mentioned in this article than you would be set for life.

You couldn’t be more right this is great information and I believe it whole heartedly that you are what you eat and if you eat the proper foods it will help your acne among a lot of other things. I really liked your article on getting rid of acne, I would much rather do like you suggested and prevent it instead but your tips for getting rid of it are great. You can tell that you have really done your research on this subject and you did a great job putting that research into words. Thank you for taking the time to post all of this it really helped.

This blog should become one of the internet standards for facts about the disease of acne and resources for controlling and curing it. This is such an informative blog and it also has resource links for natural products. If I were a health teacher at a school, I would give this link to my students so they can get educated about the facts and abstain from the many myths, which could help them control breakouts and avoid embarrassment.

Thank you for sharing this information with me this has been very helpful. I never thought that I could have anything but acne but now that you mentioned it in your article and the fact that many of these treatments may not work and to spite all the good eating and bathing you do it doesn’t go away means you could have something else, I guess I better find a dermatologist quickly.

  12. Bettye says:

Most people don’t think to wash their hands before they wash their face because they figure that the soap will wash them both at the same time. And never do people think about washing their pillows and towels because people don’t often think about transferring oil from their face to the pillow at night and then transferring it back the next night.

  13. Susan says:

Treatments for acne are more often than not just temporary right and if you don’t use them then the acne comes back right away and sometimes worse than it was before? I would much rather follow your steps to prevent it than to treat it. I want something that will fix it permanently so I don’t have to worry about it anymore.
